UK DIR Gig at Stoney

Sunday, November 12th, 2006

As per traditional a whole crowd gathered for the yearly get together. On saturday after the usual early start from Willowmead I made 4 dives.

dive 1 – Fundies styling with Tricky, Jamie, Clare and Fraser. Jamie and Tricky had a re-eval booked saturday afternoon so they wanted to get some practise in.
dive 2 – Delivered a line laying workshop with Little Pete, Dianne and Richie. I ended up doing a dry session followed by an underwater repeat. It actually went really well and every one got a chance to try it out.
dive 3 – This one was just for fun – we set off along the cliff wall past the new shop. We found really nice clear water with tonnes of fish. It was a nice dive with Fraser and we both came back grinning.
dive 4 – We were just exiting from dive-3 as the scooter workshop was finishing. Bob fancied a scooter so the three of us set off. Really good way to end the day and we exited at 3pm.

The evening session consists of a video from JJ followed by several presentations. GUE conference update from Rich, Cave Diving from Bob, I talked about Tech-2, John Kendall played a video from Donegal and Andy presented on the unknown sailing ship.

dive 1 – Another line laying this time with Phil, David and Gary b
dive 2 – Did a dive with Clare, Mark and Gloc to get some photo’s
dive 3 – Ended up scootering with Mal as part of the scooter workshop.
