Welcome to Al’s DIR blog. This is so that my team and I can share dive reports, pictures, info and planning.
I dived in all over the world and spend a lot of time diving in the UK. I learnt to dive in 2000 and started down the technical diving route in 2004 and have thoroughly enjoyed some of deeper more challenging dives. For me UK diving often means technical diving. Due to the visibility, tidal conditions, square profiles and the cold it requires a different approach and attitude. My main focus at the moment is on Cave Diving which is simply stunning.
My regular dive team consists of myself and Clare. We are a both GUE trained divers who have done Rebreather, Tech-2 and Cave-2. I often help Clare on DIR Fundamentals classes as her video diver. Pics of me below:
